We are seeking a highly skilled SHEQ Advisor to join our client's growing team in the Multi-Utility sector. This permanent position will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To develop and implement effective health and safety strategies, ensuring the company adheres to current legislation, codes of practice, and guidance.
  2. To work closely with management to establish and maintain safe systems of work, promoting a safe environment for colleagues and clients.
  3. To advise on and assist in the planning and promotion of health, safety, environment, and quality programs, ensuring their successful implementation.
  4. To conduct regular site, compound, and CDM audits, identifying areas for improvement.
  5. To coordinate with the SHEQ Department on all health, safety, environment, and quality matters.
  6. To provide training and development opportunities for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and effectively.
  7. To promote a culture of reporting near misses throughout the company.

Requirements:

  1. NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (NVQ Level 5 as a minimum standard).
  2. EUSR or CSCS in a related subject.
  3. NRSWA (SWQR).
  4. Working knowledge of HSG47.
  5. Power/Fibre/Water/Gas experience.
  6. Proficient in Accident/Incident investigation & RCA.
  7. Proficient in data analysis & compiling reports.
  8. Experience in a construction/utility-related similar role.
  9. Competent in core standard Microsoft Software.

The salary will be commensurate with experience.
