Corporate Health and Safety Advisor

Join Fox Morris Group Ltd as a Corporate Health and Safety Advisor and play a key role in ensuring the well-being of staff and stakeholders by advising on all aspects of health and safety within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on health and safety issues across the council
  • Ensure compliance with current and proposed health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and council policies
  • Develop and implement proactive health and safety management systems
  • Conduct and manage health and safety audits and inspections
  • Deliver health and safety training programs to staff and managers
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Report to senior management on health and safety performance and compliance

  • External contractors and consultants
  • Senior management and staff at all levels
  • Regulatory authorities and industry bodies

Requirements:
  • A NEBOSH Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent qualification)
  • Chartered or Graduate Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
  • Strong knowledge of current and proposed health and safety legislation and codes of practice
  • Experience in proactive health and safety management and advising on health and safety issues, preferably within the Local Government sector
  • Ability to deliver health and safety training and manage audits
