Claims Adjuster

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Adjuster to join our Property and Casualty Claims Department in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a portfolio of claims, working closely with stakeholders to resolve claims promptly and fairly.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of claims, ensuring all claims are reserved within company guidelines.
- Liaise with brokers and clients to investigate liability and discuss claims protocols, trends, and defensibility.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Underwriters, Actuaries, and other internal departments.
- Provide guidance and direction to Third-Party Administrators and Legal Partners for claims outside of Delegated Authority arrangements.
- Effective diary management of all claims, with regular meetings with delegated claims partners to review portfolio performance and improvement areas.
- Attend audit performance discussions with key partners, ensuring action points are tackled quickly and effectively.
- Work with Offshore/Shared Services to enhance and supplement support, and attend underwriting-driven meetings to explore and explain portfolio management performance.
- Prepare and present large claim activity to the Management/Leadership team, and assist Underwriters with renewal proposals.
- Liaise with Brokers/Co-insurers/other Defendants as required, and manage all Litigated cases effectively within company practices and expectations.
- Interest in handling Casualty claims, with knowledge of the MOJ Claims Portal preferred but not essential.
- Confident and effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
- Competent in all Microsoft suite products, with ability to find solutions and work independently.
- High level of numeracy and attention to detail, with willingness to seek guidance or authority when uncertain.
- True commitment to achieving excellence, with ability to work in a team environment.
