About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Hestia Housing Support. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health crises in the Hillingdon Borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one emotional support and active listening to individuals in mental health distress.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to empower service users to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Work collaboratively with statutory services, such as community mental health teams and social work teams, to ensure seamless support for service users.
  • Contribute to the development of co-produced group activities and peer support networks to promote social connections and community engagement.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of service users and staff, ensuring all concerns are addressed promptly and in line with procedures.
  • Participate in the core work of the service, providing support to colleagues and carrying out tasks allocated by the Service Manager.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with individuals with mental health issues, including crisis management and support.
  • Knowledge of relevant Mental Health legislation, such as the Care Program Approach (CPA) processes.
  • Understanding of recovery approaches and the principles of recovery as an ethos.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of service users.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection protocols.
