Hospital Director

About the Role
The Priory Group is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hospital Director to lead our hospital operations. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for the financial and operational performance of the hospital, ensuring that we deliver high-quality care and services to our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Hospital Senior Management team to achieve business objectives and improve operational performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance, including cost control and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers and commissioners.
- Lead and manage the development of services to meet the needs of our patients and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all staff are equipped with the necessary skills and training to deliver high-quality care and services.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including financial performance, quality and safety.
- Develop and implement plans to improve staff engagement and retention, and to reduce staff turnover and agency spend.
- Ensure that all aspects of confidentiality and security arrangements are maintained, including the management of service user records.
Requirements
- Experience in a hospital environment, preferably in a Mental Health Service.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a diverse team.
- Commercial accountability for cost control and financial performance.
- Experience of making informed decisions in difficult circumstances.
- Strong record of accomplishment of innovation and making changes to the operation to further improve the work environment and site performance.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex communication style dependent on situation and message.
