Our client, a leading firm in the industry, is seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join their team at Dickson O'Brien Associates.

The ideal candidate will have excellent Excel skills and be able to work quickly to analyze and report on financial data.

The role involves analyzing mileage data using a bespoke software solution to identify trends and discrepancies, generating detailed exception reports, and ensuring compliance with HMRC and company policies.

The successful candidate will have a proactive approach, excellent interpersonal skills, and first-class presentational skills.

They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven experience in data analysis, and the ability to deal with large volumes of data generated from multiple systems.

The role is permanent and offers a great opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a team and on their own initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze mileage data using a bespoke software solution to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Generate detailed exception reports on private and business mileage usage.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and company policies regarding mileage.
  • Liaise and communicate with group-wide stakeholders on these findings.
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submissions of group-wide data to 3rd Party providers.

Person Specification:

  • Proactive approach, excellent interpersonal skills, and first-class presentational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in data analysis.
  • Ability to deal with large volumes of data generated from multiple systems.
  • Strong Excel skills (minimum pivot table and vlookup).
  • Highly numerate/analytical.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team and on own initiative.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
