Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Marks & Spencer Plc. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a critical role in shaping our business decisions, analyzing sales, managing costs, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial data.

About the Role:

  • Financial Analysis: You will be responsible for drilling down on large data sets to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Your analysis will inform strategic decision-making and drive business benefit.
  • Financial Reporting: You will prepare accurate and timely financial reports, providing data-driven insights to support business divisions and finance colleagues.
  • Financial Control: You will ensure a strong financial control environment is maintained, identifying and mitigating risks to the business.
  • Problem-Solving: You will troubleshoot complex issues and proactively take action to resolve them, working closely with finance colleagues and business divisions.
  • Technical Skills: You will have strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, and be able to use data and analysis to solve problems.

Requirements:

  • ACCA Qualification: You will have a strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting, with a qualification in ACCA or a related field.

  • Business Acumen: You will have a strong understanding of business operations and be able to analyze data to inform strategic decision-making.
