Investigo, a leader in the financial services sector, is currently seeking a dedicated professional for a permanent position in financial operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Group Financial Controller in a rapidly expanding organization.

Working Hours: 8:00-16:00 / 9:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with 2 to 3 days in the office each week

On-site Parking: Available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, provide direction, organize, and manage staff orders to ensure timely delivery of supplies to the laboratories. Proactively resolve any outstanding orders and discrepancies.
  • Maintain a precise and current purchasing ledger using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central on a daily basis.
  • Reconcile supplier statements for essential accounts.
  • Prepare the weekly BACS payment list for management accountant approval.
  • Guide and mentor staff, assisting in their training within the purchasing department utilizing MD365 Business Central.
  • Ensure that delivery notes correspond with received goods and that invoices are accurately matched for accounting purposes.
  • Address inquiries related to accounts and collaborate with the Finance Manager as necessary.
  • Oversee the list of approved suppliers.
  • Contribute to the formulation of internal control policies and procedures.
  • Regularly update the Financial Controller (or CEO, if unavailable) on work progress, including any potential delays.
  • Provide training support to staff in their respective areas as required.
  • Comply with Group policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary contact for purchasing-related inquiries during the annual audit.
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Business Manager, Laboratory Manager, or Section Head to the best of your ability.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization.
  • Expertise in managing procurement across multiple locations, including intercompany transactions.
  • Preference for candidates with AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with laboratory managers.
  • Consistent and reliable employment history.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems and data management.
  • Experience in enhancing systems and reporting, with a preference for familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
  • Business-oriented mindset with a natural curiosity about industry trends.
