About the Role:
Investigo is seeking a dedicated Financial Operations Associate to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Group Financial Controller in a dynamic and expanding organization.
Working Hours: 8:00-16:00 / 9:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday
Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with 2 to 3 days in the office.
On-site Facilities: Car parking available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, guide, organize, and manage staff orders to ensure timely delivery of consumables to the labs while addressing any outstanding orders and discrepancies.
- Maintain a precise and current purchasing ledger in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central on a daily basis.
- Reconcile supplier statements for essential accounts.
- Prepare the weekly BACS payment list for management accountant approval.
- Provide direction and mentorship to staff, assisting in their training within the purchasing department utilizing MD365 Business Central.
- Ensure delivery notes correspond with received goods and that invoices are accurately matched for accounting purposes.
- Handle account-related inquiries and collaborate with the Finance Manager as necessary.
- Oversee the list of approved suppliers.
- Contribute to the formulation of internal control policies and procedures.
- Regularly inform the Financial Controller (or CEO, if absent) about work progress, including any potential delays.
- Offer training support to staff in their respective areas as required.
- Comply with Group policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary contact for purchasing-related inquiries during the annual audit.
- Execute tasks as directed by the Business Manager, Laboratory Manager, or Section Head to the best of your ability.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company.
- Experience in managing procurement across multiple locations, including intercompany transactions.
- AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with laboratory managers.
- Consistent and reliable employment history.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of IT systems and data management.
- Experience in enhancing systems and reporting, with a preference for familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Business-minded with a natural curiosity about industry trends.
