Design Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our fast-paced Womenswear Design team at Barbour. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design process from concept to final cohesive ranges, ensuring that our products meet excellent quality standards, market trends, and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement seasonal range plans, incorporating sales analysis and market research.
- Manage the design of collections, including creating moodboards, colour palettes, and technical specifications.
- Lead a team of designers, providing guidance and support to ensure individual deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure accurate product specifications and samples.
- Represent the design team in feedback sessions, research trips, and customer meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in fashion design or related field.
- Experience in a similar environment, retail or wholesale fashion.
- Previous leadership or management experience in design-related roles.
- In-depth knowledge of clothing garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes.
