Design Manager Opportunity at Barbour

We are seeking a talented Design Manager to join our fast-paced Womenswear Design team at Barbour House, South Shields. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design process from concept to final cohesive ranges, ensuring that our products meet excellent quality standards, market trends, and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design process for both clothing and outerwear, creating inspiring heritage-rich product offers.
  • Manage the design team to produce collection sales analysis, seasonal range plans, and moodboards.
  • Develop and implement design strategies to drive business growth and meet key seasonal objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Design (Outerwear) and Design Director (Clothing) to review and update range direction, colour palettes, and design concepts.
  • Represent the design team in customer meetings and presentations, ensuring that our products meet customer needs and expectations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field.
  • Previous leadership or management experience in a design-related role.
  • In-depth knowledge of clothing garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes.
