Your Responsibilities

As a Buying Assistant, you will be instrumental in executing our growth strategies and ensuring our customers have access to a diverse selection of products at competitive prices. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the formulation of a 3-6 month promotional strategy for your category, ensuring precise pricing across all platforms.
  • Utilizing your relationship-building and negotiation skills to enhance sales and profitability through strategic implementation.
  • Optimizing the product assortment while considering the in-store experience and its influence on both customers and store staff.
  • Collaborating with the Product Development team and global sourcing to establish quality standards for our own label products.
  • Managing administrative tasks and sample coordination efficiently, while demonstrating your problem-solving capabilities.

Who You Are

You are a seasoned professional with a background in procurement, ideally within a retail context, and possess a thorough understanding of product range, market dynamics, and commercial insight. Your strong analytical and numerical abilities, paired with exceptional communication and organizational skills, empower you to contribute effectively to range optimization, pricing integrity, and promotional initiatives. You excel in building partnerships with suppliers and negotiating effectively, while collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams. Your proactive approach and ability to excel in a dynamic environment are vital in driving sales, ensuring product excellence, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
