Consultant in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine

Position Overview: The Gastroenterology service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking two full-time locum Consultants specializing in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine.
Department Goals: Our department is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive range of services for patients experiencing gastroenterological issues. We prioritize the development of our staff through teaching, training, and research across all levels.
Service Locations: Services are available across three sites, closely integrated with the Departments of Hepatology and Pancreatic/Biliary Medicine. Each site is equipped with inpatient beds, outpatient clinics, and endoscopy units, catering to a diverse patient demographic.
Endoscopy Services: Our endoscopy units are JAG accredited and offer extensive diagnostic and therapeutic interventional services. The role may require providing endoscopy services at any of the three locations, including upper and lower GI endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and luminal stenting. We also offer advanced procedures such as HALO radiofrequency ablation and digital SPYGLASS cholangioscopy.
Clinical Responsibilities: The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the clinical services in Gastroenterology. The position will primarily focus on General Gastroenterology and Endoscopy services at one of our hospitals, with opportunities to participate in on-call services.
Qualifications: Applicants must be proficient in upper and lower GI endoscopy. We welcome sub-specialty interests that complement our existing team.
