Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology with General Medicine Specialist

We are pleased to advertise the exciting opportunity for two Consultants in Gastroenterology with General Medicine at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW).
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop special interests to extend the spectrum of the gastroenterology services offered at Weston
- Support services currently being developed in the department
- Undertake a total of two general gastroenterology clinics per week
- Support the endoscopy service with both upper and lower endoscopy procedures
- Inpatient responsibility for the gastroenterology ward on a 1:3 rotational basis
- Commitment to the emergency endoscopy rota (1:6) and the G(I)M on-call rota out of hours (1:11)

University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the country, with a workforce of over 13,000 staff and 100+ different clinical services across 10 sites, serving a population of over 500,000 people across Bristol and Weston.
Benefits:
- Generous relocation package of up to £7000
- Additional recruitment premium for consultants of £20,000, to be paid over a three-year period (pro-rata for fixed term posts)
Requirements:
- Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of their CCT
- Ideal candidates will have NHS experience
- Non-UK applicants wishing to apply for specialist registration could be considered on a fixed term basis
