Job Summary

Loma Systems is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our National Response Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality field-based technical expertise to our customers in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs, on-site commissioning, service, and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment to stated processes and procedures.
  • Perform upgrades and refurbishments on customer sites.
  • Handle on-site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
  • Adapt to various environments and comply with local clients' health and safety regulations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with company procedures.
  • Cooperate with overtime requirements and participate in the on-call standby rota system as needed.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and provide technical support via phone and email where required.

Requirements

  • Good technical electrical/electronics skills - minimum HNC or similar qualification in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Experience in a field service role and familiarity with customer service aspects, including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
  • PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware are advantageous.
  • Good PC literacy and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Full current UK driving license.
  • Good customer service skills and flexibility to work overtime, including weekends as required.
