Pantheon Ventures is seeking a highly skilled Senior Valuation Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Fund Finance - Valuation Analytics team, you will play a critical role in assisting with valuation analysis on a portfolio of investments, including co-investments, fund investments, and direct positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare team outputs on General Partners, directly valued co-investments for reporting and audit purposes.
  • Provide valuation technical support, including industry trends and regulations, and resolve ad-hoc queries from the Pantheon Valuation Committee and other teams.
  • Prepare team outputs by ensuring NAV accuracy, especially for evergreen strategies.
  • Assist with development and implementation of valuation processes for new strategies, build efficiencies, and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the team's deliverables and performance.
  • Provide support and analysis to external audit teams and assist with the management of annual audits relating to valuations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Pantheon policy, including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct.
Requirements
  • A degree with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • A Level Maths or equivalent is essential.
  • Progress towards ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent designation is preferred.
  • Experience with valuation and operational aspects of servicing semi-liquid funds is preferred.
  • Private capital valuation knowledge is essential, with experience in private credit and income funds preferred.
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, including good understanding of best practice valuation techniques under IPEV / IFRS / US GAAP for level 3 securities.
  • Valuation, investment, analytics, accounting, or auditing experience is preferred, especially relating to private credit funds/ illiquid investments and/or company valuations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), organisational, interpersonal, and teaming skills.
  • Strong knowledge of software packages, including Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
  • Experience of working in a busy team with tight deadlines, collaborative with regards to team deliverables.
