Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Golf Operations Assistant to join our team at Darwin Escapes. As a Golf Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our golf courses and providing exceptional customer service to our members and guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and host members and guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Manage the driving range, ensuring it is well-maintained and safe for use.
  • Be responsible for 1st tee starter duties, ensuring a seamless start to each round.
  • On-course marshalling, providing guidance and support to golfers as needed.
  • Set up and deliver members' golf days and competitions, ensuring a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Be an integral part of delivering competitions, working closely with the golf management team to ensure a successful event.
  • Be trained on our booking systems and golf genius software, utilizing this knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Golf Shop, ensuring it is clean, orderly, and well-stocked.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Similar previous experience in a golf-related role is an advantage.
  • A knowledge of golf is essential for this position, with a strong understanding of the game and its rules.
  • A positive work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
  • A driving license and the ability to drive is an advantage to enable easy travel to and from the resort.
