Technical Support Engineer for Vehicle Integration Systems

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer specializing in Vehicle Integration Systems to support our clientele in the automotive engineering domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Special Vehicles teams and converters to enhance our support documentation and processes for Vehicle Integration Systems.
- Conduct thorough investigations to understand the functionality of the Vehicle Integration System Logic Tool, focusing on Logic Blocks and vehicle features through documentation review and validation on vehicles or simulators.
- Create user-friendly help documentation that explains the fundamental workings of the logic tool, including technical manuals and instructional videos (without on-camera presence or voice recording).
- Develop practical application examples that illustrate how converters can utilize the tool to fulfill their specific needs, with guidance from the engineering team.
- Engage with the customer's Intelligence Software and Technical Teams to incorporate help resources into the Logic Tool and online platforms.
- Collaborate with the Vehicle Conversion Advisory Service (VCAS) team and Technical team to disseminate examples to converters and train the VCAS team on available resources.
- Potentially deliver training sessions on the Vehicle Integration System product across Europe, based on the candidate's qualifications.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in technical writing.
- Basic understanding of programming principles.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with video screen capture and editing.
- Knowledge of electrical integration in vehicle conversions.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years in the automotive industry.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in the converted vehicle sector.
- Experience in producing technical support documentation.
- Familiarity with programming support platforms such as Stack Overflow.
Education:
- A degree in engineering is required.
