Assistant Curator/Lecturer in Classical Archaeology

We are seeking an Assistant Curator/Lecturer in Classical Archaeology to join our team at the Ashmolean Museum and St John's College, University of Oxford. This is a fixed-term career development opportunity for an individual seeking a career in curatorship and/or university teaching.
Key Responsibilities- Develop the key skills of modern curatorship, including working on permanent displays, temporary exhibitions, and responding to public enquiries.
- Deliver undergraduate teaching in Classical Archaeology, including options on the Oxford syllabus.
- Collaborate with other Ashmolean, GLAM, and College staff as appropriate.
You will have a postgraduate degree in Classical Archaeology or a related field and experience of work (including volunteering) in a museum or similar environment and/or experience of archaeological fieldwork. You will also have a sound understanding of issues surrounding collections care, conservation, and security.
