Technical Project Manager (Tax and Invoicing) / Initial Contract / Negotiable Day Rate / Remote Work with Occasional Travel.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to take on an initial contract role with potential for extension, allowing for remote work with occasional travel.

We are in search of a skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee technical compliance delivery, ensuring adherence to tight schedules while minimizing risks of exposure and financial penalties. The ideal candidate will have a background in E-invoicing compliance implementations, with experience in tax compliance being a significant advantage. This role is critical and requires a professional who excels in dynamic environments, possesses outstanding organizational capabilities, and can adeptly navigate complex technical landscapes while collaborating with various third-party vendors and implementation partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all project phases from implementation to post-implementation support, ensuring timelines are met.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Lead technical discussions confidently.
  • Serve as a liaison among key stakeholders, including fiscal advisors, tax teams, finance teams, and engineering.
  • Manage project activities related to tax compliance.
  • Possess experience in E-invoicing and E-reporting compliance (e.g., Peppol, SAF-T, RTIR, VIDA, SII).
  • Have a solid understanding of tax and invoicing processes.
  • Exhibit a questioning mindset to effectively challenge handed-down requirements.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects across various functions and business lines is desirable.
  • Effectively manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and external vendors, to enhance productivity and minimize disruptions.
  • Closely monitor project progress, identify potential obstacles, and implement proactive strategies to maintain project timelines.
  • Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management, ensuring transparency in project performance.
  • Ensure adherence to governance processes to prevent obstacles to project launch.
  • Establish a regular schedule for project calls and develop a communication plan.
  • Adapt quickly to protect project timelines.
  • Experience with cutover planning and portfolio reporting is essential.
  • Familiarity with acceptance into service and post-go-live issue management is required.
