Mylton Technical Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all electrical engineering functions and ensuring a successful outcome on a major project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical vetting of procurement packages to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinating electrical services integration with other disciplines to achieve a seamless project delivery.
- Overseeing the production of electrical drawings, including plant and sub-contract layouts, to ensure accurate coordination.
- Providing commercial support to the Project Surveyor and managing labor and direct material matters.
- Regularly auditing the Productivity Scheme and ensuring its completion with the Foreman/Site Manager.
- Issuing labor targets ahead of work activity on site and progressing the site production report with the Foreman/Site Manager.
- Maintaining accurate records of labor and material elements used in pre-fabricated sections of the project.
- Managing technical and progress issues related to plant and sub-contractor elements using the technical submission process.
- Providing support to the Site Manager on installation matters and maintaining the Procurement Schedule, Technical Submission, and Drawings.
- Conducting regular Sub-Contract Project Reviews with the Site Manager to plan, progress, and monitor installations.
- Supporting the Project Manager in all matters relating to the project and acting as Project Manager in their absence.
- Representing the company on internal and external issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, HNC, or ONC in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- A suitable master's degree may be advantageous.
- Previous project engineering experience is recommended.
- Several years of experience working in the engineering field.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- The ability to motivate staff.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime if required.
