About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Composites Development Engineer to support the development of composite materials and processes for our NTI programme. As a key member of our Integrated Project Team, you will work closely with our engineers and technicians to design, develop, and deliver composite rotor structures for test.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of new composite materials and processes for our NTI programme
- Design and develop composite rotor structures for test, with a focus on hands-on process development and definition
- Contribute to the setup of the production line, including process specifications, equipment procurement, and tooling system design
- Support the low-rate production of test hardware, including hands-on support on the line and characterization of parts produced by various techniques
- Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent)
- Experience in composite process development and manufacturing, particularly with RTM and dry fibre preforming
- Demonstrated experience of process improvement and material development
- Low TRL/MRL technology development experience and experience with aerospace quality systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
