About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Data Centre Operations team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice and support for our Data Centre infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure issues, including systems, storage, virtualisation, and security services.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on Data Centre infrastructure, including cloud-based services.
  • Lead and participate in the development and implementation of new technologies and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Participate in the Health Board's on-call rota, providing 24x7x365 support.

Requirements
  • Degree in Digital Operations or equivalent certification.
  • Specialist training and knowledge in Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Directory Services, Microsoft SQL Server, VM Virtualisation systems, Security Technologies, Hardware troubleshooting and repair, Network Services, Data Centre Backup solutions, SFTP Services, and Data Centre Cloud Administration.
  • ITIL Certification (Foundation).
  • Extensive experience supporting complex Data Centre Digital technology environments.
  • Practical approach to problem-solving and ability to assimilate new technologies.
Language Skills

Welsh language skills are desirable, but not essential. We offer support and training for staff to develop their Welsh language skills.
