Site Agent

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent with a background in civil engineering.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to managing civil engineering projects within the water sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management: Lead and manage all aspects of civil engineering projects, with a focus on water-related infrastructure. Ensure projects are delivered safely on time, and within budget, while adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Site Supervision: Oversee construction activities on site, including subcontractor management, resource allocation, and scheduling. Maintain a safe working environment and enforce health and safety protocols by SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) regulations.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders. Coordinate meetings, provide progress updates, and address any issues or concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and rectify deficiencies as needed.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and inspire project teams to achieve performance targets and deliver high-quality results. Provide guidance, training, and support to site staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare accurate and timely reports, including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records in compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements.
- Previous experience working as a Site Agent or Site Manager on civil engineering projects, preferably within the water sector.
- Valid SMSTS certification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on water infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
