We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric Haematology and Oncology team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the team, you will provide specialist support, education, and advice to patients, families, and staff, ensuring the highest standard of care for children and young people with cancer and blood disorders.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide expert clinical care to patients with cancer and blood disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs of each patient and their family.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Conduct research and audit to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology.
- Teach and mentor colleagues, students, and other healthcare professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- NMC Registered RSCN/RN Child
- First Degree (or equivalent level) in nursing or health-related subject
- Qualification in Paediatric Oncology
- Teaching and Assessing qualification
- Evidence of on-going CPD
- Advanced safeguarding training
- Post-graduate Diploma/Degree/Masters
- GCP training
- Advanced communication skills
