Applications are invited for a NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Clinical Genetics, Haematology, or Medical Oncology at the University of Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity to undertake high-quality research within an outstanding academic and clinical environment.

Based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, this post offers a unique chance to work in a world-class setting. Applicants should be medically qualified, have full GMC registration, and hold a current National Training Number NTN/NTN(A) in Clinical Genetics or Haematology or Medical Oncology.

Applicants who do not hold a National Training Number will need to clinically benchmark to be eligible for the post. Clinical benchmarking can be achieved through application for specialty training within the national recruitment window. Candidates are responsible for ensuring their clinical application is submitted within the appropriate recruitment round to ensure they are benchmarked before the post commences.

You are required to hold or have submitted a PhD/DPhil/MD at the time of your application, and be of the standing required for an appropriate honorary contract of service with the NHS LETB (specialist trainee/LETB). Candidates who have not submitted their PhD/MD at the time of application will not be considered.

Salary Scales

£39,260pa - £68,478pa StR

£43,923pa - £63,152 pa Nodal (ST3 and above)

This appointment requires an Honorary Clinical Contract. This is an integrated appointment between the University and relevant NHS Trust / Body. You will therefore also be issued with an Honorary Clinical Consultant Contract by the NHS Trust / Body. You should be aware that if your contract with the NHS Trust / Body is terminated, your employment with the University will be terminated, and vice versa.

You will require GMC registration, Licence to Practice and Medical Defence Cover for the duration of your appointment.

Fixed-term: 4 years.

This appointment requires an Honorary Clinical Contract.
