About the Role

NHS Sussex ICB is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the transformation of discharge pathways from our services back into the community and support the front door models in our hospitals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive programme to improve discharge pathways and reduce unwarranted variation in healthcare.
  • Lead the development of integrated community teams and work with system partners to improve pathways and deliver service transformation.
  • Establish a single strategic commissioning function across NHS Sussex and standardise unwarranted variation in commissioning practice.
  • Strengthen the strategic leadership role of NHS Sussex and create a stronger infrastructure for delivery.
  • Work in a matrix manner across teams to ensure delivery using an MDT approach.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of planning and delivering programmes and projects on time.
  • Developed communication skills for delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to use informed persuasion to influence others and resolve problems in relation to project or service delivery.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills.
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
