About the Role

NHS Sussex ICB is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the transformation of discharge pathways from our services back into the community. This 12-month role will provide programme leadership and development/oversight of the workstreams that take us through transition into our longer-term outcomes, ultimately improving the patient experience and promoting the best use of our resources.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will have previous experience in leading the management and assurance of complex projects and developing effective business processes which enable successful programme/project delivery. They will be responsible for developing a detailed knowledge of the discharge transformation programme, working closely with a range of partners, and providing programme management leadership and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive programme plan to transform discharge pathways
  • Provide programme management leadership and support to ensure successful delivery of the programme
  • Work closely with a range of partners to develop and implement effective business processes
  • Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of the discharge transformation programme
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to stakeholders
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of planning and delivering programmes and projects on time
  • Experience of operating at a senior level
  • Developed communication skills for delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders
  • Good presentational skills for conveying complex concepts
  • Ability to use informed persuasion to influence others
  • Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues, and create solutions
  • Ability to understand a broad range of complex information quickly and make decisions
  • Abilities for financial and staff management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills
