About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Test Development Engineer to join QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) within our Production Engineering Team.

QTS UK is one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of Aerial Target Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement test strategies for products to ensure they meet performance specifications.
  • Liaise with R&D teams to ensure new products are designed with testing in mind.
  • Design and supervise the assembly of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test fixtures.
  • Develop and commission ATE test programs and fixtures.
  • Develop standalone test methods and design hardware and software solutions.
  • Provide training and support to factory test supervisors.
  • Manage changes to product testing in a live environment.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field or equivalent experience and qualifications.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a test development environment.
  • Radio frequency test and measurement experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronics schematic drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic component data sheets.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of standard Microsoft Office apps and Office 365 suite.
