About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Development Engineer to join our Production Engineering Team at QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS) UK.

As a Test Development Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and implementing the way we test and ensure products meet performance specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement test strategies for new products
  • Liaise with R&D teams to ensure new products are designed for optimal testing
  • Design and develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test fixtures and programs
  • Provide technical support to purchasing and production teams
  • Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide test expertise
  • Manage change to product testing in a live environment

You will be degree qualified in a relevant field or have equivalent experience and qualifications, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a test development environment.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Radio frequency test and measurement experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electronics schematic drawings
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of standard Microsoft Office apps
