Philanthropy Manager

The Talent Set is partnering with a well-established medical charity to find an experienced Philanthropy Manager. This role focuses on building relationships with charitable Trusts and Foundations to secure significant donations that drive impactful projects.

About the Role

This is a critical position within the Philanthropy Team, responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of prospects, cultivating new opportunities, and playing a key role in the overall fundraising strategy. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, academics, and clinicians to develop compelling cases for support, ensuring the charity meets ambitious income targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop persuasive fundraising proposals for Trusts and Foundations, showcasing the charity's mission and impact.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trustees, influencers, and grant-making bodies, fostering a culture of collaboration and trust.
  • Lead complex fundraising projects, collaborating with internal teams to deliver impactful campaigns that drive results.
  • Identify new opportunities and manage a dynamic portfolio, ensuring donor engagement and successful stewardship.
  • Contribute to long-term planning and decision-making, aligning activities with strategic goals and objectives.
About You
  • Proven experience in fundraising or a similar income-generating role, with expertise in proposal writing and donor engagement.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to present and negotiate at all levels.
  • Creative and proactive, with a drive to implement new initiatives and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases, such as Raiser's Edge, would be an advantage.
