Job Title: Chef Manager

Charters Retirement Village, a leading provider of retirement living solutions, is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a compelling food and beverage offering that meets the needs of our residents and wider customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the delivery and evaluation of village food and beverage services, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Hospitality to develop a menu offering that meets the needs of our residents, visitors, and wider customer groups within agreed budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve food and beverage production, service, and profitability, aligning with group strategy.
  • Ensure all hospitality staff understand their responsibility to provide a safe and hygienic food service environment, with effective cleaning practices for all hospitality service areas.
  • Seek feedback from residents, customers, and visitors to identify their needs, issues, and concerns, and seek opportunities to anticipate and delight.
  • Deal with resident and customer enquiries and complaints professionally and courteously, seeking ways to learn and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example to build, maintain, and strengthen effective relationships with residents, contributing to creating an environment where they feel appreciated, engaged, and empowered to live their best lives.
  • Use technology, systems, and processes to track and manage food and beverage income and impact, maximizing profitability and delivering a sustainable offering.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing learning and reading specialist media.
