About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and experienced Marketing and Communications professional to lead the delivery of our annual calendar of retail media funded campaigns. As Head of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver campaigns for all brands, while also inputting the Retail Media opportunity into planning for dedicated John Lewis Marketing campaigns.
You will coordinate demand versus opportunity with the channels and align with Category Marketing planners to prioritize and coordinate Retail Media funded activity in seasonal marketing campaigns and holistic plans. You will report back the performance of all Retail Media campaigns into the business, utilizing this information to inform next year's plans.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of the annual calendar of retail media funded campaigns and surface the brand appetite for all JL campaign marketing activity.
- Lead the delivery of defined elements within an overall marketing campaign to support the Media Sales team, including the definition of the marketing brief, the channel and media plan, message hierarchy, creative execution, and delivery of the campaign itself being on time and on budget.
- Apply communication and influencing skills to work collaboratively with Category Marketing Heads and Planners to elevate supplier participation in brand and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor performance of supplier funded campaigns and utilize your team to prepare PCA reports, working with the Retail Media Sales team to report performance back to suppliers and inform next year plans.
- Work to ensure the consistent implementation of activity across marketing and work with implementation teams to enable effective delivery across other functions.
We are looking for a highly organized leader with significant experience in marketing campaign delivery within a retail media environment. You will have relevant experience working with external suppliers or agencies to activate media, proven experience of effectively servicing brands/clients in a marketing environment, and experience working with complex projects and influencing multiple stakeholders at a more senior level.
You will also have evidence of strong written and verbal communication, experience of delivering to tight deadlines and to great quality, and further qualifications in marketing or business. A keen interest in changing trends in the retail media external landscape is also essential.
