Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WGM Engineering Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical equipment for various private client sectors and Scottish Water sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, repair, and install mechanical equipment, including sewage pumps and valves, air blowers, screens, filter equipment, tanks, and tank bridges.
  • Work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning engineers to provide complete solutions for planned and reactive work.
  • Assist in the response to reactive callouts, investigating, rectifying, and solving problems.
  • Participate in Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and all related Health and Safety issues.
  • Interpret RAMS and prepare Task Specific Risk Assessments where necessary.
  • Work onsite and travel to and from site.
Requirements:
  • Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years previous mechanical engineering experience, ideally in the waste water sector or industrial sectors.
  • Excellent technical skills and ability to work as a team player.
