About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Project Manager to join our team at Pontoon. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Provide technical expertise and lead the ESG Regulatory Disclosure Project, ensuring timely delivery and minimal impact on the business.
  2. Compliance and Governance: Drive and deliver change benefits and goals across EMEA, ensuring robust governance, transparency, and oversight.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead, influence, motivate, and manage diverse project teams across the EMEA organization, ensuring timely delivery of required results.
  4. Project Planning and Delivery: Plan and drive completion of all project artefacts, including the business case, regulatory requirements, project roadmap, budget, testing, deliverables implementation, and handover into business as usual.
  5. Risk Management: Identify and escalate risks and issues, and their associated mitigation plans, to the C-level Project Sponsor and appropriate committees to prevent impact or additional risk.
  6. Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure all deliverables achieve compliance for the organization, meet the objectives of the project, and are in line with best market practice and regulatory scrutiny.
  7. Change Management: Recognize and rapidly adapt to ongoing change during the project, document internal and external impacts, formulate and present suitable mitigation plans, and ensure all updates are completed to impacted areas.
  8. Benefits Realization: Maintain focus on delivering and realizing the project's benefits.
Requirements
  1. Education and Qualifications: Degree level or significant specialist knowledge and industry-recognized modern project management qualification such as PMP or APM.
  2. Experience and Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of financial services, markets, and banking activities and the surrounding regulatory framework. Prior experience of successfully delivering projects within financial services. Ideally, an ESG-related qualification or sustainability experience in financial services.
  3. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to lead and motivate, set the vision for the project, gain team and organizational buy-in, anticipate and resolve conflict, negotiate, and coach.
  4. Team Management Skills: Knowledge of effective team building and some experience of team management skills.
