Position: SEMH Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for a permanent role)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customized lessons tailored to the unique requirements of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
  • Design and execute innovative strategies to engage and motivate learners.
  • Collaborate with support personnel to foster a welcoming and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Evaluate and track student progress, modifying teaching techniques as necessary.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to assist students in overcoming educational obstacles.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues, families, and external organizations to promote the comprehensive development of each student.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students facing SEMH difficulties.
  • Strong classroom management abilities and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment.
  • A compassionate, understanding, and resilient teaching approach.
  • Exceptional communication and collaborative skills.
