Bus Driver Role at Go-Ahead London

As a leading provider of public transportation in London, Go-Ahead London is seeking a qualified Bus Driver to join our dynamic team. With a fleet of over 2,300 buses and more than 6,000 drivers, we are committed to delivering exceptional service across the city.

Position Overview:

Located at our South London depot, this role offers convenient access to local amenities, including shops and parks. Our drivers play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient travel for our passengers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate buses in a safe and responsible manner
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers
  • Adhere to scheduled routes and timetables
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from £16.41 to £20.08
  • Opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates

Qualifications Required:
  • Valid UK driving licence with a minimum of 6 months experience
  • Category D (PCV) driving entitlement
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points on driving record
  • Compliance with DVLA medical standards

For those without a PCV licence, we offer a Trainee Bus Driver Apprenticeship Scheme to help you start your career in public transport.

Job Type:

This is a full-time, permanent position with expected working hours of no less than 38 hours per week.

Work Environment:

This position requires in-person attendance at our depot.
