Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Bus Mechanic to join our team at Arriva UK Bus Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of buses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and Maintenance: Perform routine servicing and maintenance tasks on our buses to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Diagnostic Fault Finding: Use your technical skills to diagnose and repair faults on our buses, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Quality Checks: Conduct regular quality checks on our buses to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Vehicle Reliability: Work with our team to continuously improve vehicle reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Shift Patterns: Work a variety of shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends, to ensure our buses are always available for service.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold a minimum of NVQ level 2 in PSV/HGV/Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent international qualification.
  • Experience: Have at least 5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV/Light Vehicle.
  • Driving Licence: Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Medical Fitness: Be able to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
