About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Applications Analyst to join our team at TransPennine Express. As an Applications Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the application portfolio and associated projects, working closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to provide a strategic vision for new and supported applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the application portfolio and associated projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend third-party applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for application optimization, redesign, or process improvement, focusing on collaboration systems and internal tools.
  • Provide application administrative support across applications, ensuring seamless operation and minimal disruption.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to develop system roadmaps and business processes.
  • Address stakeholder needs, concerns, and expectations, ensuring successful project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Balance competing project constraints, including scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks, to meet business needs.
  • Maintain a strong technical culture around business systems, emphasizing technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences.
  • Assist with application maintenance, licensing, outsourcing, and software contract agreements, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team player who is passionate about delivering great support and driving a team towards success. You must have experience working with your team and the business, demonstrating experience in leading change in working practices, providing support, and delivering project work.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in an Applications Analyst or similar role, preferably supporting a wide variety of applications.
  • 2+ years of Vendor management experience.
  • Hands-on experience with application implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Experience managing ticketing, CRM, ERP (SAP) systems is an advantage.
  • Proven functional experience with business units, including Employee Communications, Engineering, and IT.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain system changes and functionality to all employees across TPE.
  • Experience setting up ongoing procedures for collection and review of project status and goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
