Job Title: Service Operation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Service Operation Engineer to join our team in South Wales. As a key member of our fibre installation crew, you will be responsible for delivering fibre installations to residential and business customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install fibre in customer premises, ensuring a quality and professional service.
  • Conduct daily checks of vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customers understand the use of their fibre internet and broadband devices.
  • Undertake risk assessments and method statements for each job, reporting any health and safety incidents or near misses.
  • Carry out underground and overhead fibre installations, as well as small civils works.
  • Ensure customer connections are made first time, every time, and that customers have service at the time of leaving their premises.
Requirements:
  • Experience in fibre installation services, including FTTP installation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude in resolving engineering obstacles.
  • Flexibility to work outside core hours and a willingness to undertake training and certifications.
  • Awareness of BT Openreach network and PIA, as well as network build understanding and COSHH.
  • Certifications such as NRSWA, IPAF, and PIA Sub Duct and Cable Installation Underground.
