Job Title: Chemotherapy Nurse Specialist

CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Chemotherapy Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse, you will work closely with assigned hospitals and centres to deliver holistic care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical assessments of patients' needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide training and support to patients and their caregivers on safe self-medication and administration of oncology medications.
  • Offer ongoing support through a combination of telephone, clinic-based, and home visits, as per product and client protocols.
  • Assess patients' home environments to ensure they are safe and suitable for home IV oncology treatment.
  • Administer IV oncology medications and complete line care for all patients undergoing IV cancer treatment.
  • Check blood results and make decisions on whether critical levels are within safe parameters to continue with treatment.
Requirements:
  • RGN Part 1 NMC Register.
  • Chemotherapy delivery qualification.
  • Experience in administering oncology medication, either in hospital or community environment.
  • Experience of undertaking clinical assessments and administering sub-cutaneous injections.
  • Experience in the care of IV devices and administration of IV therapies.
