Key Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor , you will oversee all financial aspects related to construction projects. Your role will involve assisting senior members of the commercial team in executing various commercial responsibilities, as well as managing procurement and our supply chain effectively.
Your focus will be on minimizing project costs while maximizing value for our clients, ensuring that all standards and quality requirements are met.
Ideally, you will hold a chartered status or be nearing completion of your professional membership with RICS, ICES, or CIOB, serving as a role model for less experienced colleagues in the commercial team.
Desired Qualifications
As a Quantity Surveyor , you will be expected to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities
- Systematic organization and verification of data
- Proficient in interpreting specifications and drawings
- Ability to create estimates from first principles, including both net and gross estimates
- Skilled in translating measurements from drawings and specifications to prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Rates
- Experience in reviewing project timelines and work programs
- Understanding of delay and disruption management
- Compilation of cost and value data
- Preparation of cost reconciliation reports
- Ability to gather information for procurement specifications
- Documentation and registration of relevant information
- Familiarity with necessary documentation processes
- Measurement of work and agreements with subcontractors
Essential Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
