About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior HSE Coordinator to join our team at Alfanar Projects. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Compliance and Risk Management: Support the HSE Manager in maintaining accurate records, conducting inspections, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with company SHEQ processes and procedures.
  • Database Management: Maintain the company's MS SharePoint database for all company policies and procedures, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information.
  • Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work: Assist in the production of risk assessments and development of safe systems of work, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Support the EHS Manager in conducting incident investigations and preparing reports, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Health and Safety Training: Assist in the development and delivery of health and safety training programs, ensuring employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  • QHSE Policies and Initiatives: Support the implementation of company QHSE policies, plans, and initiatives, ensuring a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Collate and prepare HSE data and presentations for site and corporate reporting, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in HSE, including industrial site experience.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification, with a strong desire to obtain the NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Platforms (SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a driven personality and ambition to further a career in Health and Safety Management.
