We are expanding our Home Support Team at Kirklees Council and have exciting opportunities for individuals to become Home Support Workers in our Short Term and Urgent Support teams throughout Kirklees.

As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals in their journey towards greater independence.

Your responsibilities will include supporting those who have recently been discharged from healthcare facilities and providing urgent assistance following incidents such as falls. Your commitment will be instrumental in preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and enabling individuals to remain in their homes.

Each day will present a variety of tasks, including aiding therapy and exercise routines, facilitating outdoor mobility, assisting with personal care, managing medication, and providing meal support.

Every person you assist has a unique story, allowing you to engage with them meaningfully and enrich their daily experiences.

Job Rates:

For 21-hour positions:

Hourly Rate: £ £12.38 Total Salaried Rate: £13,337 - £13,560 per annum Rota Enhancement: An additional 7% for working on a rota.

For 25-hour positions:

Hourly Rate: £ £12.38 Total Salaried Rate: £15,878 - £16,143 per annum Rota Enhancement: An additional 7% for working on a rota.

Casual Positions:

Hourly Rate: £13.65
