About the Role

The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our Training Centre staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to our Volunteers and Cadets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and deliver face-to-face training sessions for cadets and volunteers
  • Supervise the delivery of courses by others, ensuring adherence to National Governing Body standards and regulations
  • Assist the Centre Manager in ensuring the safe operation of the facility, including briefing and training staff, volunteers, and cadets
  • Manage the use, allocation, and maintenance of equipment and resources
  • Assist with administrative duties, including issuing certificates, updating records, and coordinating facility bookings
Requirements
  • RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor qualification
  • RYA Powerboat Instructor qualification
  • Experience in teaching in a classroom-based environment
  • Ability to plan, organise, and supervise the delivery of training
