The Chief Instructor (CI) role is a full-time position, and they are a member of the Training Centre staff reporting to the Centre Manager. Conducting training both on land and on the water to our Volunteers and Cadets. Regular evening and weekend working is the norm and the role will require frequent travel to work across other organisation's facilities, and also to the Charity National Support Centre (NSC) in London.
To organise and deliver high quality face to face training for cadets (and volunteers)
Assist the Centre Manager to ensure that all activities at the facility are conducted in a safe manner, and that all sessional instructors or volunteers are appropriately briefed, qualified and trained;
coordinating facility bookings and monitoring usage.
Conduct general maintenance of the facilities;
Ensuring safety and safeguarding of all trainees, providing supervision, and safety facilities as required.
Experienced and confident teaching in a classroom based environment.
