About the Role:

The Chief Instructor is a key member of our Training Centre staff, responsible for delivering high-quality face-to-face training to our cadets and volunteers. This is a full-time position that requires regular evening and weekend working, as well as frequent travel to other organisation's facilities and our National Support Centre in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise and deliver training sessions on land and water, ensuring adherence to National Governing Body standards and regulations.
  • Supervise the delivery of courses by others, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Assist the Centre Manager with day-to-day operations, including staff briefs, equipment issue and return, and the safe delivery of activities.
  • Manage the use, allocation, and maintenance of equipment and resources.
  • Conduct general maintenance of the facilities and ensure the safe use of equipment.

Requirements:

  • RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor qualification
  • RYA Powerboat Instructor qualification
  • Experience in teaching in a classroom-based environment
  • Ability to plan, organise, and supervise the delivery of training
