Job Title: UK Head of Data Governance

Investec is a Specialist Bank serving clients in the UK and South Africa. We're seeking a UK Tech Head of Data Governance to lead our data governance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a robust data governance framework.
  • Collaborate with technology and business units to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Oversee programs to monitor and improve data accuracy and reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to data protection laws and mitigate data-related risks.
  • Prepare our data for AI initiatives by ensuring high data quality and accessibility.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in data governance, with a strong understanding of data protection laws and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and its data challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build consensus and foster collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
