Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Primary Mental Health Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of Thrive, a service that identifies mental health difficulties at an early stage and provides support to promote resilience and positive mental health.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work within the Getting Advice Quadrant 1 of the Thrive Model, providing advice, guidance, signposting, and training to community partners, as well as consultation and short-term 1:1 or group interventions for children and young people on a needs-led basis.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered and experienced professional to utilize their skills and experience in working with children, young people, and their families. The ideal candidate will have post-qualification experience with an understanding of mental health difficulties as children develop, as well as the ability to work with children, young people, and their families, and colleagues from a wide range of professions and organizations.

Requirements
  • Professional qualification and training in either Registered Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy
  • Several years of experience working in a child and adolescent mental health team or equivalent
  • Able to work autonomously with confidence in own abilities and knowledge
  • Experience and evidence of working with childhood emotional and psychological development
