Primary Mental Health Worker

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Primary Mental Health Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of Thrive, a service that identifies mental health difficulties at the earliest stage and facilitates the provision of services that promote resilience and enable positive mental health.
Key Responsibilities- Work within the Getting Advice Quadrant 1 of the Thrive Model, providing advice, guidance, signposting and training to community partners, as well as consultation and short-term 1:1 or group intervention for children and young people on a needs-led basis.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, young people, their families and carers, as well as colleagues from a wide range of professions and organisations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Thrive service, including the identification of mental health needs and the development of pathways to meet those needs.
- Work autonomously with confidence in own abilities and knowledge, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Professional qualification and training in either Registered Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy.
- Several years experience of working in a child and adolescent mental health team or equivalent.
- Able to think systemically and holistically, with demonstrable knowledge and understanding of children and young people's emotional and mental health.
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills in evidence-based needs-led assessments of children, young people, their families and carers.
Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services, including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
